I spent two days walking along Haidrains Wall in Northumberland, the weather was perfect, warm, windy and dry. Bliss.

The garden has suffered a lot with the lack of rain this summer.

So have spent a lot of time clearing away all the scrub and opening up the garden to let in lots of light.

So in the spring Las brought this huge machine around and we cleared away all the rubbish in a couple of hours.

Now the boggy area is turned into a lovely open grass.

I even have a few flowers still alive.

But not many.

There is nothing nicer than a walk on a sunny afternoon.

OK, I know everyone has had lots and lots of snow but this is the first real snow I have had and it looks so beautiful I thought I would share it with you.

I woke up this morning to this so I had my coffee in bed and just looked at it.

Everywhere was just so magical.

I spent most of the morning outside taking it all in.

Toots was happy to stay in.
A winter walk with Alan, William, Maria,Jakob and me. (No photos of me as I am taking them.)

Frosty fields

Marisa and Jakob. I met Maria when I came to Denmark for a visit before I moved here and we have been good friends ever since.

More frosty fields

Red kites

There is something nice about pylons.

Off home

As the colder weather is getting nearer the sunsets are becoming more beautiful.

Happy Birthday Mum xoxoxox

My mum loves owls, I thought she might like a cusion to lean on while reading.

To get some colour into the owl with out having to keep changing threads I loosened the bobbin tention and used a muli coloured thread in the bobbin then I tightened the top and used a gold thread the effect turned out as I hoped the top thread pulling through some of the bobbin thread giving the owl some extra splashes of colour and some texture.

I stitched up a load of leaves and added a moon.

I made the panel into a simple cushion, I hope she likes it,its her birthday tomorrow, 5th November, she will be 80 something,I have lost count.

My good friend Julie from Bangor in Northern Ireland came for a visit.

We were in luck with the weather so went out every day exploring the countryside and coast.

I taught Julia how to make soap, she made a batch of citron and another of lavender.

We had long walks along the coast even if it was very windy and Julie had to hold her hat on!

Navigate the cows.

Super paths.

We went to the Dyrepark.

Took the kitties for walks.

Next time we meet up it will be in Bangor, I can’t wait!

I have been wanting a fence and gates around the house for some time now and its here! I used http://www.randers.poda.dk to put it up and what a great job they did, I am super happy with it, the house really feels cosy now.

The new window and door arrived for the studio.

It was such a beautiful afternoon yesterday I abandoned the studio put on my wellies and went for a long walk, it was warm and breezy so I enjoyed every step.

I set of along my usual path where I came accross these super mushrooms.

Through the corn field.

Past the polar bears which I cant see at the moment as the hedge is too thick.

On towards the willow woods and to my great delight the farmer has opened up a track through them which is perfect for me.

I came accross a little stream.

Giant hog weed way taller than me!
Lovely silver willow.

I found another track!

Amazing reeds.

Back into the willow woods.

Out of the woods and back into the sunshine again.

Then it changes again to an area that is left wild.

Where I sat for a while and watched the clouds.

And was eyed up by some beautiful deer.

On my way home.

Past the farm.

Throught the corn field.

The little woods.

Past the blue woods.

Through my woods.

Nearly home.

Home.
My friend Maria is allergic to a lot of perfumes and scents and finds most soaps do not agree with her, I last made her some soap about two years ago but she has now run out so I have made her this giant bar of soap that is free from additives and scents, enough for another couple of years!

Cut up, it will be ready to use in a few weeks.

Just because he is sooo cute.
