Gigha

I spent my whole childhood on the Isle of Gigha, I had a wonderful childhood there, I spent my days exploring, swimming, sailing and running free in wellies or bare feet. In the winter there was Halloween and Christmas parties held in the village hall, Carol singing around the houses. The school was small but we had a super teacher who would sometimes say, “it’s such a lovely day let’s all go out and explore the wildlife” and of we would go, she knew the names of every plant, tree and rocks. Every time I go back for a visit old friends alway make me feel so welcome, I am always sad when I have to go.
